There is more to read than ever.Trusted sources tell you what matters.
Too many tabs, too many copies of the same story, too much noise. I built Toopost to keep the sources I trust in one inbox, read them fast, and ask AI only when it helps. I hope it gives you back some time too.

Questions, answered
Toopost is a search engine and reader for sources you trust: like Google, but only across sources you chose, with no duplicates, filler or ads. It brings your trusted sources into one inbox: RSS and Atom feeds, any website, Telegram, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, podcasts, GitHub and more. Every item becomes a post with the same fields, so you can search, filter, save and ask AI about everything the same way. AI agents can read the same inbox through MCP, the toopost CLI and the REST API.
An RSS reader only reads feeds. Toopost takes a plain URL and finds the feed, the sitemap or the article listing itself, follows channels that have no feed (Telegram, YouTube, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok and others), watches pages for changes, groups the same story across sources, and answers questions with citations into your own sources. It also exposes everything to AI agents.
Focus is how Toopost watches your sources for what matters to you and tells you when it finds it. A Focus watches a source, a folder, several sources, all of them, a saved search or your saved posts. You say what to watch for with flags: a topic or event read by AI, keywords, a page change or every new post. Each find is a signal with a confidence and a short answer, in one Signals inbox. The Company template sets up a Focus from a domain. Free has 1 Focus with 3 flags, Pro 10 with 10, Maxi 30 with 20; scheduled reports are on Pro and Maxi, instant signals on Maxi.
Any website (feed, sitemap or article listing), RSS and Atom, Telegram, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon and the Fediverse, X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, VK, LinkedIn, Facebook, Substack, Medium, Hacker News, GitHub, GitLab, Dev.to, Habr, Product Hunt, Stack Overflow, arXiv, Steam, WordPress, Ghost, Blogger, Tumblr, Apple Podcasts, Spotify shows, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Dailymotion, webhook inbox sources and OPML files. Page watching, Smart search and JavaScript-rendered sites are on every plan and charged to usage; private feeds with authentication are on Pro and Maxi.
AI answers and article translation are on every plan, including Free, and come out of your monthly usage. Free has base usage, Pro has 10× and Maxi has 30×. All plans use the same AI models. Answers cite the posts they come from.
Usage is the one monthly budget of your plan. It is spent on AI answers and translation, searches, Smart search and on parsing sites that need a browser (JavaScript-rendered pages). Heavier work costs more: Smart search counts double, and a browser render costs five times its browser time. Free has base usage, Pro 10× and Maxi 30×; it resets every month, and the app shows what is left as a percent.
Two ways, both on Pro and Maxi. Add the hosted MCP server https://mcp.toopost.us in your client (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client with streamable HTTP) and sign in with OAuth. It has nine tools: search, ask, list_feed, get_document, list_sources, list_saved and list_alerts (your signals) read your inbox; follow_source and save_document follow a source and save a post. Coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can run the local MCP server of the CLI: claude mcp add toopost -- npx -y toopost mcp, or npx toopost skills --mcp in a project.
The npm package toopost. Run npx toopost for an arrow-key menu, or toopost login, which prints a link and a code to approve in the browser, so it works over SSH and inside coding agents. Commands include feed, read, search, ask, saved, save, unsave, sources, usage and whoami, each with --json and stable error codes. toopost mcp runs a local MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, and toopost skills --mcp sets them up in a project. The CLI and MCP require Pro or Maxi, like API tokens. In CI, pass an API token as TOOPOST_TOKEN.
Yes. Create an API token in Connections → API (Pro and Maxi). The endpoints (API v2 at go.toopost.us/api/user/v2) are documented in the app on the same page, with copyable curl examples.
Free: $0 with 25 sources, daily updates, 100 saves, base usage and 1 Focus with 3 flags. Pro: $5 a month or $50 a year with 100 sources, hourly updates, 10× usage, 10 Foci with field extraction and scheduled reports, posts, webhooks, API tokens, MCP for AI agents and the CLI. Maxi: $15 a month or $150 a year with 300 sources, updates every 15 minutes, 30× usage, 30 Foci, instant signals and webhook inbox sources. Every account starts on Free and can upgrade at any time.
Yes. The desktop app for macOS is on the Mac App Store (Windows is coming); it also checks your sources on your computer and keeps a local copy of your feed. Toopost is also on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, the Chrome extension adds the open tab as a source, and the web app works in any browser and can be added to the home screen. Your sources, saved posts and settings sync across devices.
The client receives only the data returned by the tools it calls on your behalf: post titles, article text, source URLs, dates, sources, saved posts, signals and AI answers. If you let it, it can also follow a source or save a post for you. The AI provider processes it under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect a client at any time in its settings or revoke the token in Connections.
