Updated · facts mirror the app

How it works

Three steps with Focus, a few minutes per company.

  1. 01

    Enter a competitor’s domain

The Company template of Focus finds the blog or newsroom, changelog, pricing and careers pages and social channels. Tick the ones to follow.

  2. 02

    Say what to watch for

Start with the suggested flags (new job openings, product announcement, pricing change, leadership change, funding) or write your own: “a new integration”, “mentions of us”.

  3. 03

Get signals and a weekly report

Each match is a signal in Focus → Signals. A scheduled report sends an AI summary every Monday to email, push, the app or a webhook (Pro and Maxi).

What signals look like

Examples with made-up companies. Each signal opens the post it came from, which you can read, search, save or ask AI about.

What Toopost follows

Everything a company publishes in public, plus any other source you trust.

Blogs, newsrooms and changelogs

Paste a company’s site and Toopost finds its feed, sitemap or article listing. Sites built with JavaScript are rendered too (charged to usage).

Page watching

Pricing, careers, changelog, team or docs pages without a feed: you get a post with a summary of what changed each time the page changes.

Focus flags

Say what to watch for in plain words: “new job openings”, “a pricing change”, “funding news”. Each match is a signal with a confidence and a short answer.

Channels and communities

YouTube, Telegram, Reddit, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, GitHub releases, Product Hunt, Hacker News and podcasts, in the same inbox as the sites.

Reports and instant signals

A Focus report on your schedule, hourly, daily or weekly, with an AI summary and a comparison with the previous period, to the app, email, push or a webhook (Pro and Maxi). Instant signals on Maxi.

Search and Ask AI

Full-text search across everything you follow, and answers with citations that link to the posts they came from.

Why Toopost

A faster, cheaper way to keep up with the companies you care about.

Hourly, not once a week
Sources refresh every hour on Pro and every 15 minutes on Maxi. Signals land as soon as a post matches; the weekly report is a summary on top.
Any source, not only company sites
Trade press, a regulator’s news page, a subreddit, a founder’s YouTube channel: anything with a URL sits next to the companies you follow.
Trends, not only news
Each Focus counts signals per flag over time and compares them with the previous period: a hiring push or a run of launches shows up as a number.
Ready for AI agents
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor through MCP, or script it with the toopost CLI. MCP and the CLI are part of Pro and Maxi.
Plans from $5
Start on Free with 25 sources and 1 Focus. Pro is $5 a month for 100 sources, 10 Foci and scheduled reports; Maxi is $15 a month for 300 sources, 30 Foci and instant signals.

Competitor monitoring FAQ

Can Toopost watch a competitor’s pricing page?
Yes. The Company template adds the pricing page as a watched page and suggests a pricing change flag: you get a signal each time the page changes, linked to a post with a summary of the change. Page watching is on every plan and charged to usage.
How do I get a weekly competitor report?
Turn on a report in the Focus settings: weekly, on the day and time you pick, optionally compared with the previous week. It groups the week’s signals by flag with an AI summary and goes to the app, email, push or a webhook. Scheduled reports require Pro or Maxi.
How fast will I hear about a change?
Sources refresh every hour on Pro and every 15 minutes on Maxi, and a signal lands in the app as soon as a new post matches a flag. On Maxi a flag can also notify you instantly by push, email or webhook.
Does Toopost track LinkedIn, headcount or company scores?
No. Toopost does not estimate headcount, score companies or read LinkedIn profiles. It follows what companies and the press publish: their sites, watched pages and public channels, plus any other source you add.
What does it cost?
Free is $0 with 25 sources and 1 Focus with 3 flags. Pro is $5 a month ($50 a year) with 100 sources, hourly refresh, 10× usage, 10 Foci with 10 flags each, field extraction and scheduled reports with an AI summary. Maxi is $15 a month ($150 a year) with 300 sources, refresh every 15 minutes, 30× usage, 30 Foci with 20 flags each and instant signals. AI flags are charged to usage on every plan. Every account starts on Free, no card needed.
