What is a Focus?
A Focus is something you keep an eye on in Toopost: a company, a topic, a set of sources. You pick what it watches and say what to watch for, and Toopost tells you when it finds it. Each find is a signal.
What is a signal?
A signal is one thing a Focus found: the flag that matched, the post, a confidence, a short answer and, on Pro and Maxi, fields pulled from the post. Scheduled reports are signals too. All of them land in one inbox under Focus → Signals, with filters by Focus, flag and period.
How many Foci and flags do I get?
Free: 1 Focus with up to 3 flags. Pro: 10 Foci with up to 10 flags each. Maxi: 30 Foci with up to 20 flags each.
Do AI flags cost extra?
No separate fee. AI flags work on every plan and are charged to your monthly usage, like AI answers. Keyword and every-new-post flags need no AI.
How do I get notified?
Every signal lands in the Signals inbox on every plan. On Pro and Maxi, a Focus can send a scheduled report (hourly, daily or weekly, optionally compared with the previous period) to the app, email, push or a webhook. On Maxi, a flag can also notify you instantly for each new signal.
What does the Company template do?
Enter a company’s domain. Toopost finds its blog or newsroom, changelog, pricing and careers pages and social channels, follows the ones you tick in a folder, and suggests flags to start with: new job openings, product announcement, pricing change, leadership change and funding.
Does Toopost read LinkedIn, estimate headcount or score companies?
No. A Focus reads what your sources publish: sites, watched pages and public channels you follow. There is no LinkedIn scraping, headcount estimate or company score.
Can my AI agent read my signals?
Yes. AI agents connected through MCP or the toopost CLI can read your signals along with your feed, search and saved posts. MCP and the CLI are part of Pro and Maxi.
